Buenos Aires - Bahía Blanca trip
Your flight will arrive to Ezeiza International Airport, Buenos Aires. Bahía Blanca is located about 700 km south from Buenos Aires, and you can get there by air, bus or car.

By plane
If you are flying from Buenos Aires to Bahía Blanca you have to travel from Ezeiza Airport to Jorge Newbery Airport (locally known as Aeroparque). Upon arrival at Ezeiza International Airport we suggest the following steps:
Just as you come out of Customs and before you enter in the Main Lobby, there are a series of booths of officially recognized transportation companies (all of them insures you with the best quality and security). There is a bus service every 0.5 or 1 h (depends on time of the day) that transfer either to downtown Buenos Aires or Jorge Newbery Airport. This service costs $32-35 (local currency), and you can check available services and rates at the company’s web page (http://www.tiendaleon.com.ar/home/home.asp)

You can make the same trip with a car and driver (in Argentina are called remise and in the US are called limousine) that costs about $90-100 (local currency) depending on the place in the city you want to go. These cars accept a maximum of 4 passengers. We STRONGLY SUGGEST that, if you use the remise service, you ask for it at either the booths indicated before. DO NOT ACCEPT ANY OTHER OFFER THAT WILL BE MADE TO YOU BY HAWKERS ONCE YOU ENTER IN THE MAIN LOBBY. The company’s booths are as you come out of customs and BEFORE you enter into the area where the people are waiting for travelers

By bus (from Retiro Bus Station)
There are more than 10 companies that provide transfers back and forth to Bahía Blanca. They have many different time schedules and prices. However, top prices include dinner and breakfast and almost bed-type seats that go for about US$ 100 (round trip). Trip takes about 9-10h and there are fairly good services overnight.

Security
As your flight arrives to Buenos Aires, you should consider some security tips. Buenos Aires is a very large city (about 14 million inhabitantants), and as any large city in the world, there are always security problems but all of them can be avoided if you exercise some precautions. Bahía Blanca is a much smaller city (about 300,000 inhabitants), and it is also more safe and quiet. However, basic safety measures are advisable.

Argentine Currency
Argentine currency is $ (pesos) and the exchange rate is around $3 = US$1. Although you can pay in most places in Buenos Aires with dollars, we suggest that you exchange enough cash for your expenses. There is a Banco Nacion to your right as you enter the Main Lobby of Ezeiza after Customs and you can eventually (depending on the hour) change your currency there.

Argentina Power Supply
Argentina electricity supply is 220 v and 50 Hz. If you bring some electrical equipment, be sure you bring also adapters adequate for these conditions.
